*Keep up on the latest: Will’s Blog
Will, along with his sister, Grace, became a part of our family in May 2012.
Our local animal shelter occasionally sets up in random locations around town to get people to adopt cats and dogs. Of course, one day they happened to be setup at the entrance to a store we were going into.
Among the cats and dogs the shelter had there, were two tiny, furry kittens. They had been brought to the shelter after being found sitting in the middle of a street. I was trying to be strong, but as luck would have it, my daughter saw them.
Yes, these two little kittens went home with us.
Will has grown into a long haired, big boy. But, this big boy can flip a switch without notice and go from being a sweetheart to seeming like a psycho kitty.
He loves his family and will come out to meet or look over people who visit. But, he quickly decides if he doesn’t like some people. If he doesn’t like someone, they are best to leave Will alone. If he decides that he likes you, be prepared to allow him to love on you (even if you don’t like cats 🙂 ). For the most part, he will just stay away if he decides he doesn’t like someone. Will often makes an exception to this when one of my grown daughters comes to visit. He really like to show his psycho kitty side to torment and mess with her.
Will is our hunter and stalker. He enjoys finding objects that he will suddenly decide that he must stalk. It can be quite funny to watch him going into his hunter poses, as he stalks around things, trying to find just the right moment and angle to pounce.
Will also has a rather cute fascination with a little ball. He will carry it around and drop it at our feet. He likes to play fetch. Yes, our cat plays fetch. To make it cuter, he also likes to play catch! My daughters throw the ball and he will stand or jump up to catch the ball between his paws. He sometimes even manages to catch it with one paw. Yes, we hope to catch him doing this on video or to at least get photos. But, Mr. Will does have attitude so if he knows we want to do something, he usually will show us it is not going to happen.
Nicknames: My daughters often call him “Willis” or “Willie”
I sometimes refer to him as my baby or Mr Psycho
