*Keep up on the latest: Grace’s Blog
Grace, along with her brother, Will, became a part of our family in May 2012.
Our local animal shelter occasionally sets up in random locations around town to get people to adopt cats and dogs. One day they happened to be setup at the entrance to a store we were going into.
As I told you on Will’s page, I tried to be strong when I saw these tiny, furry kittens. My daughter, well she wasn’t so strong and managed to find my weak spots.
Yes, these two little kittens went home with us.
She may have started out as a tiny fur ball, but Grace has grown into a big girl; a very big girl. So okay, she is a bit on the heavy side, but she is so pretty.
Grace is a bit more laid back than her brother, Will.
Grace has a problem. She doesn’t think so, but we do. Grace is a hoarder, well a thief and a hoarder. She seems especially fascinated with stealing assorted things from my second to youngest, teenage daughter. She has even been caught carrying my daughters jeans down the stairs – TWICE in ONE night!! The only thing I can figure out is maybe she just wants to be a teenage girl. 🙂 She also has an uncontrollable urge to steal individual packages of feminine pads (yes, new, unused, still in package). Those have to be stored in a cabinet or drawer that Grace cannot open. I have found several stockpiles of the various things she has managed to steal and add to her hoard.
Grace enjoys sunbathing when the sun shines through the window. She also likes to tuck away boxes that are too small for her, to try to curl up in. Among Grace’s favorite toys are ponytail holders that she got from my daughters. She likes to carry ponytail holders around and to swat them across our hardwood floor. When she decides she wants to “get away” from things, she knocks – yes, knocks – on my youngest son’s door. She knocks on the door with her paw and sometimes with her head.
Nicknames: “Gracie” by my daughters
I sometimes call her “My pretty girl” and “Miss Grace”
